INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA / ACCESS Newswire / August 15, 2025 / Ratio Architects, LLC ("Ratio Architects") is an architect firm that fell victim of a cyber incident on October 6, 2024.
What Happened?
On October 6, 2024, Ratio Architects became aware of technical issues related to its server. Upon discovery, Ratio Architects took immediate action to resecure its systems and retained cybersecurity specialists to investigate the incident. Following the investigation and a comprehensive review of the data involved, on or about May 23, 2025, it was determined that certain PII was acquired without authorization.
What Information Was Involved?
The information involved varied by individual. The types of information may include first and last name, in combination with one or more of the following data elements: date of birth, driver's license number or state identification number, government identification number (e.g., passport number), Social Security number, and financial account type and password, pin, or access code. Individual notifications were mailed out on a rolling basis, starting on July 22, 2025, and ending on July 30, 2025.
What is Ratio Architects Doing?
For individuals whose Social Security number was involved, Ratio Architects is offering an opportunity to enroll in complimentary Single Bureau Credit Monitoring/Single Bureau Credit Report/Single Bureau Credit Score and identity protection services through Kroll. These services will monitor your credit file and send you alerts for 12 months from the date you enroll whenever changes or updates are detected. This notification is sent to you the same day that the change or update takes place with the bureau.
A dedicated call center, operated by Kroll, will also be available to assist individuals with credit monitoring enrollment, identity theft protection, and questions related to the incident. If you believe your information may have been involved in the incident, and you have not received a direct notification, please contact Ratio Architects' dedicated assistance line at 1-866-461-2466. Representatives are available Monday through Friday (excluding federal and major U.S. holidays) from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM Eastern Time to help determine your eligibility for credit monitoring services.
What You Can Do:
To date, Ratio Architects is not aware of any reports of identity fraud or fraudulent activity. As a general matter, one may remain vigilant against incidents of identity theft and fraud by reviewing your credit reports and account statements for suspicious activity and to detect errors. If you discover any suspicious or unusual activity on your accounts, please promptly contact the financial institution, health insurance provider, or company.
As a general matter, individuals should remain vigilant by reviewing credit reports, financial account statements, and explanation of benefits forms for suspicious activity and to detect errors. Ratio Architects also remind everyone that they are entitled to one free credit report annually from the each of the three major credit reporting bureaus, TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. Individuals can further educate themselves regarding identity theft, fraud alerts, credit freezes, and the steps they can take to protect personal information by contacting the credit reporting bureaus, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), or your state Attorney General. The FTC also encourages those who discover that their information has been misused to file a complaint with them.
